The World Has More Stories Than We Notice

I am Himal Shahi Thakuri, an IT professional from Nepal and the founder of Everst Blog.

I have always been fascinated by what we have yet to discover. Not necessarily the things that make headlines or attract crowds, but the things that quietly exist around us — a bird whose name we don't know, a creature living deep in the forest, a tradition carrying generations of history, or a place whose story has never reached the wider world.

These things are easy to overlook. Sometimes, we pass them every day without realising how extraordinary they are.

I believe that when we begin to understand what we see, we begin to see the world differently.

That belief is where my journey begins.

From the Digital World to the World Beyond It

My professional life revolves around information technology. I enjoy building websites, solving problems, exploring digital tools, and discovering how technology can turn an idea into something real.

Technology has taught me how to find information, connect ideas, and bring knowledge to people. But it has also given me a way to pursue something beyond the digital world itself.

I want to understand the natural world, explore unfamiliar places, learn about wildlife, and uncover the stories behind Nepal's extraordinary landscapes and cultures.

For me, these interests are not separate from my work in IT. They give my work a purpose.

Technology gives me the tools. Curiosity gives me the questions. Discovery gives me the reason to keep going.

Why I Created Everst Blog

I started Everst Blog with a simple ambition: to help people discover things they might otherwise never have known.

Nepal is a country of remarkable biodiversity, living traditions, diverse communities, and landscapes that continue to surprise even those who call it home. Chitwan's forests, for example, hold far more than the wildlife we hope to spot on a safari. Every species has a place in its ecosystem. Every landscape has a story. Every culture has knowledge worth understanding.

Yet many fascinating stories remain unexplored, misunderstood, or hidden from people beyond their immediate surroundings.

I want Everst Blog to help bring these stories into view.

Through research, exploration, and digital storytelling, I aim to create a platform where readers can learn about wildlife, nature, travel, culture, technology, and the countless details that make our world worth understanding.

Not just to show people something interesting, but to help them understand why it matters.

I am not building Everst because I believe the internet needs another blog. I am building it because I believe useful knowledge, thoughtfully shared, can change the way people see the world.

I Am Not Here to Pretend I Know Everything

There is something important I want readers to understand about me.

I am not a person who has explored every forest, identified every species, or discovered every hidden corner of Nepal. I am at the beginning of a much larger journey.

And that is precisely why I started.

I want to ask questions, investigate unfamiliar subjects, learn from credible sources, and share what I discover. When a subject deserves deeper research, I want to go beyond the first answer. When a story reveals something unexpected, I want to understand the bigger picture.

Curiosity is the starting point, but accuracy matters. A fascinating story should also be a trustworthy one.

I want Everst Blog to reflect that principle: the excitement of discovery combined with the responsibility of sharing information honestly.

The Vision: A Small Beginning with a Bigger Purpose

My ambition is to grow Everst Blog into a trusted digital destination for people who want to understand Nepal and explore the wider world.

A place where someone discovers an unfamiliar animal and learns why it matters. Where a traveller finds a reason to look beyond the usual destinations. Where a reader encounters a culture with greater understanding. Where a simple question leads to a deeper appreciation of the world we share.

I want to build something that grows with every story researched, every subject explored, and every new perspective discovered.

I know that trust is not earned through big promises. It is earned through consistent work, honest information, and stories that give people a genuine reason to return.

That is the kind of platform I want Everst to become.

This Is Only the Beginning

I come from Nepal, but my curiosity has no borders.

There are forests I have yet to explore, species I have yet to recognise, cultures I have yet to understand, and questions I have not yet thought to ask.

I don't know where every discovery will lead. I do know that I want to keep learning, keep questioning, and keep finding better ways to share what I learn with others.

Everst Blog is more than a website I have created. It is a commitment to that process — a place where technology meets curiosity and where discovering something new is only the beginning of understanding it.

If this platform encourages someone to look more closely at nature, discover a new side of Nepal, question something they once took for granted, or simply become curious about the world again, then it will be doing something meaningful.

Because the world does not become more interesting only when we travel farther. Sometimes, it becomes more interesting when we finally take the time to understand what has been in front of us all along.

I am Himal Shahi Thakuri. This is the beginning of my journey with Everst Blog, and I invite you to be part of what we discover next.

Welcome to Everst Blog.

Look closer. Ask questions. Discover more.
